Category A
What is the minimum age for category A?
To obtain category A, you must be at least 24 years old, or 20 years old if you have had category A2 for at least 2 years.
Can I drive scooters with category A?
Yes, category A also includes all lower category motorcycles, including AM and A1.
How long does category A training last?
Usually 1–2 months, depending on the student’s availability and driving skills.
Is theory training mandatory if I already have category B?
If you have category B, the theory training is reduced, but you still have to take the exam.
Can I learn on my own motorcycle?
Yes, if it meets the requirements of the CSDD and is insured.

Category AM
Mopeds and scooters up to 50 cm³ or up to 45 km/h. An ideal choice for young people from 14 years old.
Category B
Passenger cars up to 3.5 tons and up to 9 seats. The most popular category for everyday drivers.
Category BE
Passenger cars with larger trailers (up to 3.5 t). Useful for campers, boats, or trailer transport.
Category C
Trucks over 3.5 tons. Requires Category B. Mandatory for freight transport drivers.
Category CE
Trucks with trailers (truck-trailers). A professional category for international transport.
Category D
Buses and other vehicles for passenger transport. Required for those who want to work in public transportation.
Code 95
Professional qualification certificate for freight and passenger transport. Mandatory for C, CE, and D categories in professional work.
First Medical Aid
A course that teaches how to provide first aid in road accidents. Mandatory for all new drivers.
